Crispy Air Fryer Asparagus (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Main Ingredients

01 - 1 pound thick asparagus (or ½ pound thin asparagus, trimmed)
02 - 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
03 - 2 large eggs
04 - ½ teaspoon salt
05 - ½ teaspoon garlic powder
06 - ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
07 - ¾ cup panko breadcrumbs
08 - ¼ cup grated parmesan cheese
09 - ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes
10 - Any desired dipping sauce (optional)

# Instructions:

01 - Wash and pat dry asparagus until thoroughly dried. Trim the tough ends.
02 - Mix all-purpose flour, eggs, salt, garlic powder, and ground black pepper in a broad dish until well combined.
03 - Pulse panko breadcrumbs, grated parmesan, and red pepper flakes in a food processor until coarsely ground. Transfer to a separate dish or plate.
04 - Dip each asparagus spear into the egg-flour batter, ensuring it is coated thoroughly. Then gently coat with the parmesan-panko mixture and place onto a plate.
05 - Preheat air fryer to 400°F for 7 minutes.
06 - Transfer asparagus to the air fryer basket in a single layer without overlapping. Spray with non-stick cooking spray for a golden crust (optional). Cook for 6 to 8 minutes until deep golden in color.
07 - Serve immediately with your favorite dipping sauce or marinara.

# Notes:

01 - Cook asparagus in a single layer to ensure even crispiness.
02 - Thick asparagus spears hold their shape better than thin ones, especially when cold.
03 - Using non-stick spray enhances the golden crust but can be skipped for an oil-free option.
