Easy Air Fryer Grilled Cheese (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
02 - 4 ounces sharp cheddar cheese, grated
03 - 4 ounces Monterey Jack, Gruyère, or low-moisture mozzarella cheese, grated
04 - 4 slices rustic bread or sandwich bread (white or whole-wheat)

# Instructions:

01 - Let butter soften at room temperature. Heat air fryer to 375°F.
02 - Grate both types of cheese using the large holes of a box grater (about 1 cup each). Mix together in a medium bowl.
03 - Spread butter on one side of each bread slice. Flip two slices over and divide cheese mixture evenly between them. Top with remaining bread slices, butter-side up. Press gently to close.
04 - Place sandwiches in air fryer basket (one at a time if needed). Air fry for 3 minutes, flip, then cook 3-4 minutes more until golden brown. If needed, flip again and cook 1-2 minutes for perfect browning.

01 - If air fryer is small, assemble second sandwich after first one is cooked
02 - Leave space around sandwiches in basket for proper air circulation
