Easy Air Fryer Pineapple (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Main Ingredients

01 - Fresh pineapple rings (or canned if fresh not available)
02 - Light brown sugar
03 - Ground cinnamon
04 - Cooking spray or oil (olive or coconut oil)

→ For Serving (Optional)

05 - Vanilla or coconut ice cream
06 - Whipped cream

# Instructions:

01 - Mix the brown sugar and cinnamon together in a small bowl until well combined. The exact measurements depend on your sweetness preference, but start with about 2 tablespoons brown sugar and 1 teaspoon cinnamon for every 8-10 pineapple rings.
02 - Lay out your pineapple rings on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or wax paper. Sprinkle each ring generously with the brown sugar and cinnamon mixture, making sure both sides get coated.
03 - Lightly spray or brush your air fryer basket with oil to prevent sticking. This step is important for proper caramelization and clean-up later.
04 - Arrange pineapple rings in a single layer in your air fryer basket, leaving space between each slice for proper air circulation. Don't overcrowd - work in batches if needed. Air fry at 400°F for 14-16 minutes, carefully flipping the rings halfway through (around 7-8 minutes).
05 - For subsequent batches, reduce cooking time by 2-3 minutes since your air fryer is already hot. Keep an eye on them as they may caramelize faster.
06 - Using kitchen tongs, carefully transfer the hot caramelized pineapple rings to a serving dish. Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla or coconut ice cream, a dollop of whipped cream, or simply enjoy them on their own as a naturally sweet treat!

# Notes:

01 - The pineapple is perfectly done when it's tender and the sugar mixture has caramelized to a beautiful golden brown color.
02 - If using canned pineapple, drain and pat dry with paper towels before coating with the sugar mixture.
03 - For variety, try using pineapple chunks or spears instead of rings, but note that cooking time may need to be adjusted.
04 - Regular granulated sugar can be substituted for brown sugar if needed, though you'll miss some of the caramel notes.
