Alabama Firecracker Spicy Crackers (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Seasoning Mixture

01 - 120 millilitres olive oil
02 - 1 teaspoon garlic powder
03 - 1 teaspoon onion powder
04 - 0.5 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
05 - 28 grams ranch dressing mix (1 packet)
06 - 3 tablespoons crushed red pepper flakes

→ Base

07 - 455 grams saltine crackers

# Instructions:

01 - Preheat oven to 120°C (250°F) to ensure gentle, even baking for the crackers.
02 - In a large mixing bowl, whisk together olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, ranch dressing mix, and crushed red pepper flakes until a smooth, uniform mixture forms.
03 - Add saltine crackers to the bowl. Gently toss and fold until each cracker is thoroughly coated with the seasoning and oil blend.
04 - Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Spread the seasoned crackers in a single, even layer, ensuring they are not overlapping to promote even crisping.
05 - Bake in the centre of the preheated oven for 15 to 20 minutes, stirring gently halfway through to promote uniform crispiness. Monitor closely to prevent burning.
06 - Remove crackers from oven and allow to cool on the baking sheet for several minutes. Crackers will crisp further as they cool.
07 - Once completely cool and crisp, serve immediately or store in an airtight container for optimal freshness.

# Notes:

01 - For milder crackers, reduce the quantity of crushed red pepper flakes to suit your preferred heat level.
