Cheesy Baked Broccoli Balls (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Fresh Ingredients

01 - 2 cups fresh broccoli florets, chopped into tiny pieces

→ Cheese & Dairy

02 - 1½ cups freshly shredded sharp cheddar cheese
03 - ⅓ cup grated Parmesan cheese
04 - 2 large eggs to hold everything together

→ Pantry Essentials

05 - 1 cup crispy breadcrumbs
06 - 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
07 - ½ teaspoon garlic powder
08 - ½ teaspoon onion powder
09 - Salt and fresh ground black pepper to taste
10 - Cooking spray or oil for the baking sheet

# Instructions:

01 - Get your oven nice and hot by preheating it to 400°F (200°C). While it's heating up, line a baking sheet with parchment paper or give it a light coating of cooking spray.
02 - Steam those broccoli florets until they're just tender but still have some bite - about 3 to 5 minutes should do it. Let them cool down enough to handle, then chop them up into small pieces.
03 - Grab a large bowl and toss in your chopped broccoli, both kinds of cheese, breadcrumbs, eggs, and flour. Sprinkle in the garlic powder, onion powder, and season with salt and pepper. Mix everything together until it's well combined and sticky enough to form balls.
04 - With clean hands, roll the mixture into 1-inch balls (about the size of a golf ball) and place them on your prepared baking sheet, leaving a little space between each one.
05 - Pop them in the oven for 20-25 minutes until they're golden brown and crispy on the outside. For extra crunch, you can broil them for a final 1-2 minutes - just keep an eye on them so they don't burn!

# Notes:

01 - Let these cheesy bites cool for a few minutes before serving - they'll be super hot inside!
02 - These are great with marinara sauce or ranch dressing for dipping.
03 - Try adding some crushed red pepper flakes to the mix if you like a bit of heat.
