Baked Ziti with Ricotta (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 pound ziti pasta, cooked al dente.
02 - 4 links (about 1 pound) cooked Italian sausage, sliced ½-inch thick.
03 - 1 32-ounce jar marinara sauce.
04 - 1 15-ounce container whole milk ricotta cheese.
05 - 8 ounces shredded mozzarella cheese.
06 - ¼ cup fresh basil leaves, chopped.
07 - ¼ cup fresh parsley leaves, chopped.

# Instructions:

01 - Heat oven to 400 degrees. Grease a 9×13 inch pan.
02 - Mix cooked ziti, sausage, and most of marinara sauce in large bowl, saving 1 cup sauce for later.
03 - Put half the pasta mix in pan. Top with half of ricotta and mozzarella. Add remaining pasta mix, then rest of ricotta, mozzarella, and saved sauce.
04 - Cook for 20-25 minutes until sauce bubbles and cheese melts. Top with fresh basil and parsley before serving.

# Notes:

01 - Add parmesan cheese for extra flavor.
02 - Try spicy Italian sausage for more heat.
03 - Can add spinach with cheese layer for extra nutrients.
