Beef Rotini in Garlic Sauce (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 12 ounces rotini pasta.
02 - 1 pound ground beef.
03 - 3 cloves garlic, minced.
04 - 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour.
05 - 2 cups milk.
06 - 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese.
07 - 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning.
08 - 2 tablespoons olive oil or butter.
09 - Salt and pepper to taste.
10 - Salt for pasta water.

# Instructions:

01 - Boil salted water and cook rotini 9-11 minutes until al dente. Reserve 1 cup pasta water before draining.
02 - Heat oil in large skillet over medium-high. Brown ground beef 5-7 minutes until cooked through. Drain excess fat.
03 - Add garlic to skillet, cook 1 minute. Sprinkle flour over mixture and stir. Gradually whisk in milk and simmer 2-3 minutes until thickened.
04 - Add Parmesan, Italian seasoning, salt and pepper. Cook 1-2 minutes until cheese melts and sauce is smooth.
05 - Add pasta to sauce, toss to coat. Use reserved pasta water to thin sauce if needed.

# Notes:

01 - Can use heavy cream for richer sauce.
02 - Works with other pasta shapes.
03 - Add red pepper flakes for heat.
04 - Stores for 3 days in fridge.
