In a mason jar or airtight container, add 1/2 cup rolled oats, 1/2 cup milk, chia seeds, honey or maple syrup, and vanilla extract.

Gently fold in the blueberries. If using frozen blueberries, no need to thaw them first—they'll thaw in the fridge overnight.

Stir the ingredients until well combined. Seal the jar or container with a lid.

Place the oats in the refrigerator and let them soak for at least 6 hours (overnight is best). The oats will absorb the liquid and become soft and creamy.

When you're ready to eat, give the oats a quick stir. You can add more milk if you prefer a thinner consistency. Top with extra fresh blueberries, nuts, granola, or a dollop of yogurt for extra flavor and texture.
