Cheesy Parmesan Mozzarella Bites (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Cheese Base

01 - 12 mozzarella string cheese sticks

→ Breading Station

02 - 1 cup (125g) all-purpose flour
03 - 2 large eggs, beaten
04 - 1 1/2 cups (150g) seasoned breadcrumbs
05 - 1 cup (100g) freshly grated Parmesan cheese

→ Seasonings

06 - 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
07 - 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
08 - 1/4 teaspoon salt

→ For Cooking

09 - Vegetable oil for frying, or cooking spray for baking

# Instructions:

01 - Cut those string cheese sticks into thirds - you'll get 3 pieces from each stick. Pop them in the freezer for about 30 minutes to get them nice and firm.
02 - Get three shallow bowls ready: flour in one, beaten eggs in another, and in the third, mix up your breadcrumbs, Parmesan, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, and salt.
03 - Take your frozen cheese pieces and give them a good coating - first in flour (shake off the extra), then a dip in egg, and finally roll them in that seasoned breadcrumb mix. Want them extra crispy? Double-dip in the egg and breadcrumbs!
04 - Line up your coated bites on a baking sheet and pop them back in the freezer for 15-20 minutes. This helps keep them from turning into a melty mess when cooking.
05 - For frying: Heat up about 2 inches of oil to 350°F and fry in batches for 1-2 minutes until golden brown. For baking: Heat your oven to 400°F, spray the bites with cooking spray, and bake for 8-10 minutes until crispy.
06 - Get these bad boys to the table while they're hot! Serve with some marinara sauce, ranch, or whatever dipping sauce you love.

# Notes:

01 - Make them spicy by adding cayenne pepper to the breadcrumbs
02 - Double coating makes them extra crunchy
03 - Best eaten fresh, but can be stored in the fridge for 2 days
