Chocolate Chip Blondies (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Base

01 - 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
02 - 1 cup packed light brown sugar
03 - 1 large egg + 1 large egg yolk, at room temperature
04 - 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
05 - 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
06 - 1/2 teaspoon salt
07 - 1 cup all-purpose flour

→ Mix-ins

08 - 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips

# Instructions:

01 - Preheat the oven to 175°C. Line a 20cm x 20cm baking pan with parchment paper and set aside.
02 - In a large mixing bowl whisk together the melted butter and brown sugar. Add the egg, egg yolk, and vanilla extract and mix well.
03 - In a separate bowl stir together the baking powder, salt, and flour. Add the wet ingredients into the dry and fold together until just mixed and no clumps of flour remain.
04 - Fold in the chocolate chips gently. Do not over mix.
05 - Pour the batter into your prepared pan, spreading into an even layer. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes or until the blondies are golden brown, set on the edges and have puffed up. The middle will still be slightly undercooked, but they will continue to cook as they cool.
06 - Once the blondies are completely cool, cut into 9 squares for large blondies, or 16 squares for smaller portions.

# Notes:

01 - Allow blondies to cool completely before cutting for clean edges.
02 - Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
