Chocolate Coconut Date Bars (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Base Mixture

01 - 10 medjool dates, pitted
02 - 100 grams unsweetened shredded coconut
03 - 30 millilitres coconut oil
04 - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
05 - 25 grams unsweetened cocoa powder
06 - 30 millilitres honey

→ Optional Topping

07 - 56 grams dark chocolate baking chips (sugar-free recommended)

# Instructions:

01 - Pit the medjool dates and measure all ingredients accurately.
02 - Combine dates, shredded coconut, coconut oil, vanilla extract, cocoa powder, and honey in a food processor.
03 - Pulse the mixture until it forms a crumbly, cohesive dough.
04 - Transfer mixture onto wax paper and press firmly into a rectangular block about 1.25 centimetres thick.
05 - Melt dark chocolate baking chips and spread evenly over the top, if desired.
06 - Refrigerate the block for approximately 30 minutes or until fully set.
07 - Cut the set block into individual bars and serve chilled.

# Notes:

01 - For firmer bars, ensure the mixture is pressed tightly before chilling.
