Creamy Crab Pasta Salad (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 pound dry pasta (bowtie or rotini).
02 - 12-16 ounces imitation crab, torn into pieces.
03 - 1 cup mayonnaise.
04 - 1/2 cup buttermilk.
05 - 1 lemon, juiced.
06 - 1 teaspoon onion powder.
07 - 2 cloves fresh garlic, minced.
08 - 1/2 teaspoon seasoned salt.
09 - 2 tablespoons chopped parsley.
10 - 2 tablespoons sugar (optional).
11 - Salt and pepper to taste.
12 - 4 green onions, thinly sliced (optional).

# Instructions:

01 - Bring large pot of water to boil. Add 1-2 tablespoons salt and pasta. Cook 10-12 minutes per package directions.
02 - Rinse pasta with cold water, drain, and set aside to cool completely.
03 - Tear or cut imitation crab meat into bite-size pieces.
04 - Mix crab meat, mayo, buttermilk, garlic, lemon juice and seasonings in large bowl until well combined.
05 - Add cooled pasta to crab mixture and toss until well-coated.
06 - Top with green onions if using. Chill at least one hour or overnight. Toss before serving.

# Notes:

01 - Makes a big batch - perfect for family of 8.
02 - Can use ice bath to cool pasta quickly if needed.
03 - Buttermilk substitute works fine.
04 - Green onions are optional and can be skipped.
