Easy Homemade Cream Puff Cake (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 cup water.
02 - 1/4 teaspoon salt.
03 - 1/2 cup butter.
04 - 1 cup all-purpose flour.
05 - 4 eggs.
06 - 2 packages (3.9 oz each) instant vanilla pudding.
07 - 8 ounces cream cheese, very soft.
08 - 3 1/2 cups milk.
09 - 8 ounces whipped topping, defrosted.
10 - 1/4 cup chocolate syrup.

# Instructions:

01 - Preheat oven to 450°F and grease a 9×13″ baking pan.
02 - Boil water, butter and salt together. Remove from heat and pour into a mixing bowl.
03 - Add flour and beat until it forms a ball or use electric mixer for 2 minutes until well mixed.
04 - Let dough cool for 10 minutes.
05 - Beat eggs into dough until thick and smooth. Surface should look shiny.
06 - Cool for another 5 minutes.
07 - Spread dough in greased pan. Bake 15 minutes at 450°F.
08 - Prick center 15 times with knife to let air escape. Lower heat to 350°F and bake 20 more minutes.
09 - Let cool 30-45 minutes before adding filling.
10 - Beat softened cream cheese in a bowl.
11 - Mix pudding and milk together. Add to cream cheese, mix slowly first then beat well. Pour over cooled base.
12 - Top with whipped topping and drizzle chocolate syrup. Keep in refrigerator.
