Classic Roasted Turkey (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 whole turkey (12-20 pounds).
02 - 1 medium onion, cut in quarters.
03 - 3 peeled garlic cloves.
04 - 1 large apple, cut in quarters.
05 - 1 medium lemon, sliced.
06 - 2 fresh rosemary sprigs.
07 - 2 fresh thyme sprigs.
08 - 1/2 cup softened butter.
09 - 1 tablespoon dried thyme.
10 - 1 tablespoon dried oregano.
11 - 1 tablespoon dried rosemary.
12 - 1 tablespoon dried sage.
13 - 1 teaspoon salt.
14 - 1/2 teaspoon pepper.

# Instructions:

01 - Thaw turkey in fridge for 3-7 days.
02 - Heat oven to 325°F.
03 - Take out neck and giblets, dry turkey with paper towels. Tuck wings under.
04 - Put onion, garlic, apple, lemon and fresh herbs inside turkey.
05 - Mix butter with dried herbs, salt and pepper.
06 - Rub herb butter all over and under skin.
07 - Tie legs with kitchen twine.
08 - Put turkey in roasting pan breast up.
09 - Put thermometer in thickest breast part.
10 - Cook 15 minutes per pound until temp hits 165°F.
11 - Let rest 20 minutes before carving.
