# Ingredients:

→ Fish and Seasonings

01 - 4 skinless cod fillets (6 oz each), about 1-inch thick
02 - All-purpose flour - 1 tablespoon
03 - Sweet paprika - 1/2 teaspoon
04 - Onion powder - 1/2 teaspoon
05 - Dried thyme - 1/4 teaspoon
06 - Dried oregano - 1/4 teaspoon
07 - A pinch of cayenne pepper (1/8 teaspoon)
08 - Sea salt - 3/4 teaspoon, or to your taste
09 - Freshly cracked black pepper - 3/4 teaspoon

→ Sauce Ingredients

10 - Danish Creamery Butter - 5 tablespoons, divided into pieces
11 - Good quality olive oil - 1 tablespoon
12 - Fresh garlic, finely minced - 1 tablespoon
13 - Low-sodium chicken broth - 1 1/2 tablespoons
14 - Fresh lemon juice - 1 1/2 tablespoons
15 - Fresh parsley, chopped - 1 tablespoon

# Instructions:

01 - Create your seasoning blend by mixing flour, paprika, onion powder, thyme, oregano, cayenne, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Coat both sides of your cod fillets generously with this flavorful mixture.
02 - Get your non-stick skillet nice and hot over medium-high heat, then add 1 tablespoon each of butter and olive oil until the butter melts and starts to bubble.
03 - Carefully place your seasoned cod in the hot pan and let it sear until it develops a beautiful golden crust, about 3-4 minutes. Flip and cook the other side until the fish flakes easily with a fork.
04 - Lower the heat to medium-low and add the remaining 4 tablespoons of butter to the same pan. Once melted, add the minced garlic and cook just until fragrant, about 15 seconds - be careful not to brown it! Take the pan off the heat and carefully add the chicken broth and lemon juice (watch out for the steam!).
05 - Pour your warm lemon butter sauce over the cod fillets, sprinkle with fresh parsley, and serve right away while everything's still hot and delicious.

# Notes:

01 - This recipe creates a restaurant-quality fish dish with perfectly flaky cod and a rich, buttery sauce.
02 - For the best results, make sure your cod fillets are similar in thickness for even cooking.
