Mongolian Beef with Noodles (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Protein & Noodles

01 - 1 lb ground beef
02 - 10 oz linguine

→ Sauce Components

03 - 1/3 cup brown sugar
04 - 1/4 cup beef broth
05 - 1/3 cup soy sauce
06 - 3 tablespoons hoisin sauce
07 - 1 tablespoon cornstarch
08 - 2 tablespoons water

→ Aromatics & Seasonings

09 - 5 cloves garlic, minced
10 - 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
11 - 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
12 - Pinch of red pepper flakes (optional)

→ Garnish

13 - 4 green onions, sliced

# Instructions:

01 - Cook the linguine according to the package instructions. Once cooked, drain and set aside.
02 - In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned and cooked through. Drain any excess fat.
03 - Add minced garlic to the browned beef and cook for 1 minute. Stir in brown sugar, beef broth, soy sauce, hoisin sauce, ground ginger, black pepper, and optional red pepper flakes.
04 - Mix cornstarch with water to create a slurry. Add to the skillet and stir until sauce thickens, about 2-3 minutes.
05 - Add cooked linguine to the skillet. Toss noodles in the sauce until well coated. Garnish with sliced green onions and serve hot.

# Notes:

01 - Can add vegetables like bell peppers or broccoli for extra nutrition
02 - For gluten-free version, use tamari instead of soy sauce and gluten-free pasta
