Creamy One Pot Mac Cheese (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Pasta and Dairy

01 - 2 cups uncooked macaroni or pasta of your choice
02 - 3 cups water
03 - 3/4 cup heavy whipping cream
04 - 2 1/2 cups freshly grated sharp cheddar cheese
05 - 2 cups freshly grated mozzarella cheese

→ Seasonings and Spices

06 - 1 teaspoon salt
07 - 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
08 - 1 tablespoon garlic powder
09 - 1 tablespoon onion powder
10 - 1 1/2 tablespoons paprika
11 - 1 teaspoon mustard
12 - 1 1/2 teaspoons sugar

# Instructions:

01 - Start by freshly grating both the sharp cheddar and mozzarella cheese. Have all your ingredients measured and ready to go.
02 - Add the dried macaroni and water to a pot. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat, then reduce to medium-low and cook until the pasta is al dente, following package instructions. You should have a small amount of pasta water remaining in the pot.
03 - Reduce heat to low, then add all remaining ingredients to the pot. Stir continuously until the cheese melts completely and everything is well combined. Taste and adjust seasonings as needed. Serve immediately while hot and creamy.

# Notes:

01 - The water for cooking should exceed the pasta amount by 1-2 cups
02 - Feel free to experiment with your favorite cheese combinations
03 - The sugar helps balance flavors without making the dish sweet
04 - If pasta water evaporates too quickly, add more water and reduce heat
