07 - 1/4 teaspoon salt

→ Finishing

08 - Additional powdered sugar for dusting (optional)

# Instructions:

01 - Preheat oven to 175°C and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
02 - In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, powdered sugar, and granulated sugar until pale and fluffy, about 3–5 minutes.
03 - Blend in the orange zest and vanilla extract, mixing until evenly distributed.
04 - In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour and salt. Gradually add this mixture to the butter mixture, mixing until a cohesive dough forms.
05 - Portion the dough into balls approximately 2.5 cm in diameter. Place each ball onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each. Gently flatten each with the bottom of a glass or palm.
06 - Bake in the preheated oven for 12–15 minutes, or until edges are lightly golden while centers remain soft.
07 - Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely. Dust with powdered sugar if desired.

# Notes:

01 - Ensure butter is fully softened for smooth incorporation and optimal cookie texture.
02 - For intensified citrus flavor, increase orange zest or use a portion of lemon zest.
