# Ingredients:

→ Main Ingredients

01 - 1 small head cabbage, cut into 1.25 cm thick slices
02 - 680 grams ground beef or ground turkey
03 - 1 small onion, finely chopped
04 - 2 cloves garlic, minced
05 - 1 teaspoon salt
06 - 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
07 - 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
08 - 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
09 - 60 grams shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or preferred type)
10 - 2 tablespoons olive oil
11 - 1 egg (optional, for binding)

# Instructions:

01 - Preheat oven to 190°C and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
02 - Slice the cabbage into 1.25 cm thick rounds. Brush both sides with olive oil and place in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
03 - In a large bowl, mix ground beef, onion, garlic, salt, black pepper, smoked paprika, Worcestershire sauce, and egg (if using) until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
04 - Take a portion of the meat mixture and press it onto each cabbage slice, covering most of the cabbage while leaving a small border exposed.
05 - Place the baking sheet in the oven and bake for 25 minutes, until the meat is fully cooked and reaches an internal temperature of 71°C.
06 - Remove from oven and sprinkle shredded cheese over each burger. Switch oven to broil setting.
07 - Return baking sheet to oven and broil for 3 to 5 minutes until cheese is melted and slightly golden. Monitor closely to prevent burning.
08 - Allow burgers to rest for a few minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired and offer sour cream, mustard, or preferred dipping sauce on the side.

# Notes:

01 - For easier patty shaping, slightly moisten your hands before handling the meat mixture.
02 - Monitor burgers closely when broiling, as cheese can brown quickly.
