Pioneer Woman's Easy Apple Dumplings (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 large apple (Fuji or tart variety), peeled and cut into 8-10 wedges.
02 - 1 can Pillsbury Crescent Dough.
03 - 1/2 cup butter.
04 - 2/3 cup sugar.
05 - 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon.
06 - 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract.
07 - 3/4 cup 7-Up or equivalent soda.

# Instructions:

01 - Heat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8x8-inch baking dish.
02 - Peel and cut apple into 8-10 wedges. Pat dry with paper towel.
03 - Separate crescent dough into triangles. Roll each apple wedge in dough from wide end and seal edges. Place in dish.
04 - Melt butter in saucepan over medium heat. Add sugar and cinnamon, whisk until thickened. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla.
05 - Pour sauce over dumplings. Pour 7-Up around edges of dish.
06 - Bake 40-45 minutes until golden brown and sauce is bubbly.
07 - Let cool slightly before serving warm.

# Notes:

01 - Works with different apple varieties like Granny Smith or Honeycrisp.
02 - Can substitute 7-Up with Sprite or ginger ale.
03 - Keeps 2 days at room temp, 4 days in fridge.
04 - Can be made 24 hours ahead and refrigerated.
