Fried Nutella Pancake Sandwich (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Pancake batter

01 - 375ml milk
02 - 1 tbsp white vinegar or lemon juice
03 - 500g flour
04 - 1 tsp baking powder
05 - ½ tsp baking soda
06 - 55g caster sugar
07 - 60ml vegetable oil
08 - 125ml hot water

→ Sandwich

09 - 10-12 slices white bread
10 - 2 tbsp milk (for brushing)
11 - Nutella for filling

→ Cinnamon sugar coating

12 - 165g caster sugar
13 - 1 tsp ground cinnamon

# Instructions:

01 - In a small bowl, combine milk and vinegar. Mix well and set aside for 5-10 minutes to create a buttermilk substitute.
02 - In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and caster sugar until well combined.
03 - Add the buttermilk mixture, vegetable oil, and hot water to the dry ingredients. Whisk until you have a smooth, lump-free batter.
04 - Set up your frying station and begin heating oil in a deep pan over medium heat.
05 - Take two slices of bread and lightly brush one side of each with milk. Flatten both slices using a rolling pin.
06 - Place a dollop of Nutella in the center of one bread slice, then cover with the second slice (milk-brushed sides facing outward). Press edges firmly to seal.
07 - Using a cookie cutter or knife, trim the sandwich into your desired shape, ensuring edges are well-sealed.
08 - Dip the sealed sandwich completely in the pancake batter, allowing excess to drip off.
09 - Carefully place the battered sandwich in hot oil and fry for about 2 minutes until golden brown. Flip and cook for another minute until evenly colored.
10 - While sandwiches are frying, combine caster sugar and cinnamon in a shallow bowl and mix well.
11 - While still warm, roll each fried sandwich in the cinnamon sugar mixture until evenly coated on all sides.
12 - Arrange on a serving plate and enjoy while still warm.

# Notes:

01 - Ensure oil is at the right temperature (175°C/350°F) for perfect frying - too hot and they'll burn, too cold and they'll absorb too much oil.
02 - For a less sweet version, you can skip the cinnamon sugar coating.
