Orange Cake with Orange Glaze (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Cake

01 - 125g butter, softened
02 - ½ cup sugar
03 - 2 eggs
04 - ½ cup freshly squeezed orange juice
05 - 2 teaspoons orange zest
06 - 1½ cups self raising flour

→ Orange Glaze

07 - 40g butter
08 - 1 cup icing sugar
09 - 2 tablespoons freshly squeezed orange juice
10 - 1 teaspoon orange zest

# Instructions:

01 - Set your oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a small loaf tin with baking paper.
02 - Beat the softened butter and sugar in a stand mixer until light and creamy.
03 - Beat in the eggs until well combined, scraping down the bowl as needed. Mix in the orange juice and zest.
04 - Add self raising flour and beat on low until just combined, then increase speed to high and beat for 2 more minutes.
05 - Pour batter into the prepared tin, smooth the top, and bake for about 40 minutes until cooked through. Let it cool completely.
06 - In a small saucepan, combine butter, icing sugar, orange juice, and zest. Heat gently while stirring until butter melts and glaze is smooth. Let it cool slightly before spreading over the cake.
