Simple Strawberry Cheesecake Dump Cake (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Fruit Layer

01 - 2 cups fresh or frozen strawberries
02 - 1 can (21 ounces) strawberry pie filling

→ Cheesecake Layer

03 - 1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese, softened to room temperature
04 - 1 cup granulated sugar
05 - 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

→ Topping

06 - 1 box yellow cake mix
07 - 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
08 - Whipped cream for serving (optional)

# Instructions:

01 - Turn your oven on to 350°F and give a 9x13-inch baking dish a good coating of non-stick spray.
02 - Spread your strawberries across the bottom of the pan, then pour the pie filling over top. This makes a nice thick fruity base.
03 - Mix up your softened cream cheese with sugar and vanilla until it's nice and smooth. Drop spoonfuls all over the strawberry layer - don't worry about spreading it perfectly.
04 - Sprinkle the dry cake mix evenly over everything, then drizzle all that melted butter on top. Don't stir it - just let it sit there and do its magic.
05 - Pop it in the oven for about 45-50 minutes until the top gets golden brown and starts bubbling around the edges.
06 - Let it cool down a bit, then top with some whipped cream if you like. Serve it while it's still warm for the best taste.

# Notes:

01 - This cake is even better the next day after the flavors have had time to blend.
02 - You can use frozen strawberries straight from the freezer - no need to thaw.
