Whipped Strawberry Basil Butter (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Butter Base

01 - 113 grams unsalted butter, at room temperature
02 - 0.25 teaspoon kosher or sea salt

→ Fruit and Aromatics

03 - 2 to 3 fresh strawberries, mashed (approximately 2 tablespoons puree with liquid)
04 - 1 tablespoon fresh basil, finely chopped
05 - 2 teaspoons honey, optional

# Instructions:

01 - Combine butter and salt in a medium bowl. Whip using an electric mixer or sturdy whisk until the mixture becomes pale and fluffy.
02 - In a separate small bowl, mash the strawberries thoroughly with a fork until a smooth puree forms. Measure out 2 tablespoons, including any juices.
03 - Add strawberry puree to the whipped butter and continue beating until the color is evenly rosy and the berries are fully integrated.
04 - Gently fold in the chopped basil. Taste and, if desired, blend in honey for additional sweetness. Mix until all elements are combined.
05 - Transfer to a serving dish or airtight container. Use immediately or refrigerate for up to 2 weeks.
